Today’s jigsaw:
1961 Dan & Whit's with Classic Cars
Dan & Whit’s is a treasure. Situated at the junction of the five Norwich roads like fingers of a hand, this store is still the main hub of the town. I often refer to it as “the center of the universe”. Many folks have spotted a D&W T-shirt in far-flung locations. Enjoy, and don’t forget to support your local historical society.
Think you know those four car models? Just hit “Message” right here in Substack and send me your guesses directly. I’ll follow up in the comments later with the official answers and a bonus puzzle with the answers for all you if you give it a try.

In actuality, this is in the years 1907-12, as the handwritten note after the caption indicates. Notice two stores with two entrances, which survived until a subsequent remodel. You can still find evidence inside of the two-store era.
Susan Apel added a nice piece on her great Artful blog. And again, featuring a CBS “On the Road” segment from 2021.
Just an Fyi: my father's first name is spelled "Jesse", he was named for his paternal grandmother and her version has the "i". Thanks.
