Puzzle for December 21, 2025: The Orion Nebula

We are lucky to live in an area of dark skies as the winter sky is awe-inspiring.

I’m stretching our concept of “history” a bit to show something born much earlier than the subjects of previous puzzles.

This nebula is roughly 3 million years old.

So every human who has ever looked at the northern winter sky has seen what we can view every clear night
