Here's your jigsaw: WW II Lookout Tower in Norwich
This puzzle features an aircraft lookout tower formerly located on Old Coach Road in Norwich. There is some confusion, as the photo below says that tower was located on Gile Mt. but is almost certtainly not, based on the view into the Connecticut River Valley.
See Kevin Hybel's excellent article for the Norwich Historical Society.
The towers were part of the World War II Aircraft Warning System, which established towers on both coasts and relied on volunteers to watch for enemy aircraft.
On the East Coast, these towers stretched from northern Maine to the tip of Florida and extended inland as far inland as the Appalachian Mountains.
